This is our newsletter for the hot days of the year. As you will see, some activities are offered on certain days of the week, the jeep tours on Wednesdays, the canoe trip from Casa Branca to Odemira on Thursdays, and the fishing on high seas every Friday.
Please note that there is a minimum of six participants - and that you can realize them any other day for the same price, if you're a group yourself!

The small canoeing trip on Rio Mira ...
... takes you into the interior: With the last upstream current you paddle from Odemira inland and turn back into that small town, when the current starts to come back.
This route is suitable also for beginners and families with small children:
You decide on the way whether you want turn back soon or continue until the river becomes too narrow to go any further.
Duration: 3 - 5 h

The large canoe tour on Rio Mira
From the delta to Odemira there are two daily routes, recommended only upstream, since the often strong wind carries the boats then with itself.
The canoeing time is more or less the same on any of the routes. Leaving from Casa Branca or Milfontes just includes time for transport of canoes and cars.
The second route from Casa Branca (close to São Luís) to Odemira are offered to special prices on Thursdays.

The walks touch all alentejan habitats: cliffs and dunes, river banks and salt marshes, mediterranean and cork oak forests.

Jeep Tours..
... along the hidden trails between the beaches of Vila Nova de Milfontes and Zambujeira do Mar offer the option to marvel the cliffs and dunes of this wild stretch of coast.
At this time of the year, it's still worth to pass by the lighthouse, as the storks are still occupying their nests on the cliffs. After a short break with a drink in Zambujeira, you are brought back to Milfontes.
Duration: 3:30 - 4 h
price every Wednesday: 30 € / adult, children (4-11 y.) pay half.
horse riding into the Serra de Cercal
From São Luís into the closer environment, a circular way shows you the alentejan landscape from a new point of view.
Either a guided beginner ride or an accompanied trip for riders with experience.

Full moon on horseback
A ride into a wild valley, which appears in the moon light like a magic landscape, enjoy noises and smells of the night - a celebration for the senses!
Only riders with something experience can participate in this trip.

Ride to the lake
Riders with some experience can participate in a trip that leads to a small water reservoir. Not only the horses will enjoy a refreshing, and the experience of swimming with horses is something very special.
Duration: about 3 hours
Meeting is in São Teotónio, at 9:00 am
Price: 40 € / person, including a snack.
With the fishing boat on high seas
for fishing, bird watching or just to relax and enjoy the good sea breese, you will part with Duca-Pesca from Milfontes out to sea, in a real fishing boat.
The experienced fisherman works since years successfully in high sea fishing and likes taking tourists along the beautiful coast from the mouth of the Mira to the lighthouse at Cabo Sardão, famous for the storks nesting on its cliffs, with calm winds you may see dolphins.
To get the minimum of six participants together, we have chosen a certain day. Groups may go on this trip anytime.
Duration: 4-5 h
Price every friday:
35 € / person,
with a minimum of six participants. A fishing-licence has an additional cost of 3 €.
Fishing on the river
with departure in Milfontes the boat with seats for up to 10 persons leaves with enough fishing rows for everyone, the whole family will enjoy this calm day on the river.
Groups may go on this trip any day.

Die kleine Kanutour auf dem Rio Mira ...
... führt Sie ins Landesinnere: Mit der letzten Flutströmung paddeln Sie von Odemira aus flußauf und kehren bei einsetzender Ebbe wieder zurück ins Städtchen. Imm Sommer ist sie jeden Tag möglich!
Diese Tour eignet sich auch für Anfänger und Familien mit kleinen Kindern: Sie entscheiden unterwegs, ob Sie eine kleine Runde drehen wollen oder erst umkehren, wenn der Fluss zu schmal zum Weiterfahren wird.
Dauer: 3 - 5 h
Preis: 15 € / Person, Kinder (5-15 J.) zahlen die Hälfte.

Die großen Kanutouren auf dem Rio Mira
Die Strecke zwischen Vila Nova de Milfontes kann in zwei Tagesetappen zurückgelegt werden, mit Zwischenstop in Casa Branca (bei São Luís).
Donnerstags bieten wir die zweite Etappe der Kanutouren, von Casa Branca nach Odemira, zu einem Gruppenpreis an.
Dauer: ca. 4 h
Preis jeden Donnerstag:

Mindestteilnehmerzahl von sechs Erwachsenen. Kinder (5-15 J.) zahlen die Hälfte.

Ausflüge mit dem Jeep..
...entlang der versteckten Wege zwischen den Stränden von Vila Nova de Milfontes und Zambujeira do Mar bieten die Möglichkeit, die Klippen und Dünen dieses wilden Küstenabschnitts zu bestaunen.
In dieser Jahreszeit lohnt es sich noch, am Leuchtturm zu halten, wo die Störche noch zu ihre Nester in den Klippen besetzen.
Nach einer kurzen Erfrischung in Zambujeira werden Sie zurück zu Milfontes gebracht.

Reiten in der Serra de Cercal
Ob zu einem geführten Anfänger-Ritt oder einem begleiteten Ausflug geht es von São Luís aus in die nähere Umgebung, auf einem Rundweg lernen Sie alentejanische Landschaft aus einem neuen Blickwinkel kennen.

Vollmondnacht im Sattel der Pferde
Wir reiten in ein wildes Tal, das im Mondlicht wie eine magische Landschaft erscheint, genießen Geräusche und Gerüche der Nacht - Ein Fest für die Sinne!
Nur Reiter mit etwas Erfahrung können an diesem Ausflug teilnehmen.

Reiter mit ein wenig Erfahrung können an diesem Ausflug teilnehmen, der zu einem kleinen Stausee führt. Nicht nur die Pferde werden sich auf eine Erfrischung freuen, und das Bade-Erlebnis mit den Pferden ist etwas ganz Besonderes.

Mit dem Fischerboot auf hohe See...
...zum Angeln, Vögel beobachten oder um einfach mal in Ruhe die Meeresluft zu
genießen, gehen Sie von Milfontes aus hinaus auf's Meer - in einem echten Fischerboot.
Der erfahrene Fischer Rui bietet seit Jahren erfolgreich Hochsee - Angeln an und nimmt gerne Touristen entlang der wunderschönen Küste mit, von der Mündung des Mira bis zum Leuchtturm von Cabo Sardão, das berühmt ist für die Störche, die auf seinen Klippen nisten.
Um die die Mindest-Teilnehmerzahl von sechs Personen zu erreichen, haben wir einen Wochentag festgelegt. Für Gruppen ist dieser Ausflug, auf dem man bei Windstille vielleicht Delphine sieht, jederzeit möglich.
Dauer: 4 - 5 h

mindestens 6 Teilnehmer. Eine Angel - Lizenz kostet weitere 3 €.
Fluß - Angeln
In Milfontes am Flußhafen legt das Boot für bis zu zehn Personen ab, ausgerüstet mit ausreichend Angeln für Alle, die ganze Familie wird diese Entspannung auf dem Fluß ggeniessen. Für Gruppen ist dieser Ausflug jederzeit möglich.
Dauer: 2-3 h
Preis immer Freitags: 20€ / Person,
mindestens 6 Teilnehmer. Eine Angel - Lizenz kostet weitere 3 €.

O canoagem curto no Rio Mira ...
… toma-o no interior: Com a última corrente da maré remam de Odemira rio acima e volta á cidade quando a corrente começa voltar.
Esta rota é apropriada igualmente para novatos e famílias com crianças pequenas: decidem no passeio se querem fazer uma pequena volta ou continuar até que o rio se torne demasiado estreito para ir mais.
Duração: 3 - 5 h
Preço: 15 € / pessoa, crianças pagam metade de preço.
Os passeios grandes no Rio Mira
Do delta a Odemira há duas rotas diárias, recomendado sobretudo rio acima, desde que o vento então carrega os barcos consigo.
Nas quinta-feiras oferecemos a rota da Casa Branca (perto do São Luís) a Odemira para um preço especial:

.. ao longo de trilhos escondidos, entre as praias de Vila Nova de Milfontes e Zambujeira do Mar, oferecem a oportunidade de apreciar as falésias e dunas deste trecho de costa selvagem.
Nesta época do ano, ainda vale a pena passar pelo farol, já que as cegonhas ainda estão nos seus ninhos nas escarpas marítimas.
Depois de um curto refresco na Zambujeira, será levado de volta para Milfontes.

Passeio equestre na Serra de Cercal
Um passeio circular acompanhado desde São Luís aos arredores da vila mostra a paisagem alentejana desde um novo ponto de vista.

Cavaleiros com alguma experiência podem participar nesta viagem que nos leva até uma barragem. Aqui pode refrescar-se juntamente com o cavalo, e partilhar um banho muito especial.

O passeio começa em São Teotónio.
Preço: 40 € / pessoa, pequeno lanche incluído.
Com o barco de pesca para o mar
Para pescar, observar aves, ou simplesmente para relaxar e desfrutar da boa brisa do mar, vai partir de Milfontes para o mar - num verdadeiro barco de pesca.
O pescador experiente com sucesso há anos na pesca de alto mar e está ansioso para levar turistas ao longo da bela costa desde a foz do Mira até ao farol do Cabo Sardão, famoso pelas cegonhas que nidificam nas suas falésias.
Para acumular as seis pessoas mínimas, elegimos um dia. Grupos podem fazer este percurso em qualquer dia, no qual, nos dias sem vento, golfinhos podem ser observados.

35 € / pessoa, com um mínimo de seis participantes.
Uma licença de pesca tem um custo adicional de 3 €.
Com saida no porto fluvial die Vila Nova de Milfontes, o barco sai com até dez pessoas, equipado com canas para todos os participantes para a pesca de robalo, sargo, dourada, safia... Toda a família vai apreciar o dia de descanso neste passeio.
Grupos podem fazer este percurso em qualquer dia.
