Converts a genlight object into gds format

Dear colleagues, 

I hope you are all fine. 

Please I have been trying to convert a genlight file into a gds format using the code below but I failed: 

gl2gds(
  x=gl,
  outfile = "gl_gds.gds",
  outpath = getwd(),
  snp_pos = "$other$loc.metrics",
  snp_chr = "$other$loc.metrics",
  chr_format = "character",
  verbose = NULL)

I am seeing this error below: 

Error in `[.data.frame`(snp_order_temp, snp_chr) : 
  undefined columns selected

Please I need your help
