Dear dartR Team,

I hope this message finds you well.

I am trying to join two gl objects that contain the same individuals and SNPs. I attempted to use the gl.join function, but while it does unify the individuals, it ends up doubling the number of SNPs in the final gl file.

I've tried this both on my local computer and on the Posit platform, but unfortunately, I was unable to achieve the desired outcome.

Could anyone please let me know if it’s possible to join the gl objects as intended?

Thank you in advance for your help!

Best regards,

Hi Luciana,

gl.join is designed to merge two DArTseq reports when, for example, a dataset contains a large number of samples and DArT splits the SNP report into two or more files.

Happy to help with anything else.

Cheers,
Luis
