Hi everyone,
we would appreciate your help.
The dartRverse team has decided to nominate dartR for the prestigious Eureka price  - Excellence in Research software ( https://australian.museum/get-involved/eureka-prizes/enter/).

To do so, we would like to ask for your support. The nomination requires to parts where the dartR community relies on your support.
Part 4 is asking for Testimonials  from experienced users of the software. (see below for details)
Part 5 is asking for evidence of successful use of the software. (see details below).

Hence, here the question: Can you please provide us with a suggestion for a experienced user who might be willing to write a testimonial and provide evidence for the successful use of the software. For example a prominent data set that helped in the conservation of a species, a cool application in a prominent ecosystem or supported agricultural practices to improve the livelihood of humans.

The responses could be given here in the google group threat or also via email to: bernd....@canberra.edu.au

Thanks a lot,  the dartRverse team
Bernd, Luis, Arthur, Carlo, Diana, Olly, Peter, Emily, ChingChing, Floriaan, Eric, Sam

Btw: in the last days we updated the cran version for most of the packages and if you have not done yet please update to dartRverse (as dartR will no longer be updated).
dartRverse is the successor and has 97% the same functionality and some exiting new functions. To celebrate the release of dartRverse we aim to have a regular blog post on new functions and facilities. As a teaser:

the gl.download.binary function in dartRverse allows to download and install a suit of software packages that are then directly accessible via. gl.run.xyz commands.
There are many more new functions that have made it into dartRverse and we aim to report on the in coming blogs.

Thanks again for your support.
