Sustainable growth in the Eurozone and Asia: similarities and opportunities; His
Excellency Mr Jeroen Dijsselbloem, President of the Eurogroup and Minister of
Finance of the Netherlands; The lecture will be chaired by Professor Kishore
Mahbubani, Dean, Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy. SPEAKER • Jeroen
Dijsselbloem, born in Eindhoven on 29 March 1966, is the Eurogroup President and
Minister of Finance of the Netherlands. The Eurogroup, the main forum for
the management of the single currency area, brings together the ‑finance
ministers of countries whose currency is the Euro. The Eurogroup’s role is
to ensure close coordination of economic policies within the Euro area. It also
aims to promote conditions for stronger economic growth, as well as to promote
financial stability.

SYNOPSIS • Eurogroup President Jeroen Dijsselbloem will
elaborate on the recent developments in the Eurozone and will explain why the
Euro remains a very interesting investment opportunity. As a single currency
shared by 17 of the European Union’s Member States, the Euro has made doing
business in Europe a lot easier. Europe is using the momentum to become stronger
and to focus on sustainable and inclusive growth. Since Asia went through
similar developments, Europe was able to bene‑fit from the lessons learned here.
It is important that Europe and Asia join forces and learn from each other, as

Loss of civility and decorum at the office is a
phenomenon which is rarely studied and investigated in a scientific manner. Come
January 15th, Dr. Lynne Andersson, esteemed faculty member of Temple University
and recipient of the 2005 Musser Excellence in Leadership Award for Teaching,
will discuss and delve into research that examines the issue of politics,
conflicts and incivilities at the workplace. Gain insights into these and more
as Dr. Andersson shares with us her research and investigates how new societal
norms, globalization and the prevalence of social media come to play at your
office. Places are limited. This seminar is part of the Knowledge Leadership
Series organized by the International Executive Education Center (IEEC).
