Art Outreach are running a series of free walking tours of Gillman Barracks, Singapore's premier contemporary art destination. Implementing real organizational change. As many leaders and human resource professionals have learned the hard way, it is a deceptively simple concept. In today’s constantly changing business environment and with complex, global competitive realities, there are real, long-term consequences to failing at organizational change. Real, sustainable organizational change requires: 1) diagnosing the reason for change; 2) designing appropriate interventions; 3) evaluating progress and; 4) course correcting as needed.
There’s no “one-size fits all” approach to achieving change, but there are best practices and leaders/human resource professionals who have successfully achieved organizational change. Join the Asia Panel Series as we bring together three change management veterans who will share practical, recent methodologies and experiences. Topics will include:
- Given all that is out there, what do I really need to know about transformational organizational change?
- What impact does the ride of cross-functional teams and virtual teams have?
- What are the new technologies that are being used in change efforts?

Panel Members
Denise Morris Kipnis heads ChangeFlow Consulting, an organization development consultancy that specializes in transformational change. Known for organizational puzzle-solving and big-picture thinking, her areas of expertise include: organization design, change management, project management, communication, and inclusion. Denise has led change projects across various sectors and countries; her clients include multinationals such as Credit Suisse and BHP Billiton as well as SME’s, nonprofits, and government agencies.
Chris Morris, formerly a consulting director at Frost & Sullivan, is an independent consultant working with Hay Group amongst others. He has more than 13 years of programme and change management experience within the industrial, public and healthcare sectors. Especially skilled in the delivery of complex projects with multiple stakeholders, Chris has extensive experience of working within the government, industrial and healthcare sectors, where he has overseen several extensive organization-wide transformation initiatives.
Aaron Mitchell is currently employed at Citi as a Human Resources Management Associate. His specific responsibilities include the end-to-end project management of an Asia-Pacific wide recruitment transformation initiative where all aspects of the recruiting model are in scope for 17 countries within the region. Essentially, Aaron is responsible for developing strategy and then turning that strategy into reality while trying to maintain harmony in a heterogeneous region. Aaron has extensive experience managing change without formal authority.

David Barker is president of ASIM Education, the parent organization for both the International Executive Education Center and the Asian School of International Management. His experience in the education sector has been focused on bridging highly ranked US graduate programs into Asian markets with Asian context. The MIT Club of Singapore is hosting the annual MIT Beaver Cup 2013, a bowling event which promises to be a fun and friendly competition amongst the various alumni clubs of DUAL and Friends of DUAL. Do come join us, either as a bowler or as a cheerleader.
The details of the event are as follows:

Format: Teams will consist of between 5 to 6 bowlers. Each bowler will bowl two games. Only the top 5 scores from each team will be used.
Cost: $40/bowler; $15/non-bowler
Light food and soft drinks will be served during the event, so non-bowlers are also welcome to come along to cheer on their teams, network or just catch up with old friends from the wider DUAL community.
