Dear Dart Mentors and Community,
I hope this message finds you well.
My name is Arjav Jain, and I am a first-year B.Tech student with a strong interest in software development, backend systems, and open-source contributions. I am writing to express my interest in contributing to the Dart organization as a prospective participant in Google Summer of Code 2026.
I have been actively learning Dart and Flutter through hands-on projects and exploring how Dart is used to build scalable, performant applications. Alongside this, I have experience working with APIs and backend frameworks such as FastAPI and Flask, and I am particularly interested in how Dart integrates with modern application architectures.
I have been reviewing previous GSoC ideas related to Dart and Flutter and deeply appreciate the project’s emphasis on language design, tooling, performance, and developer experience. I am currently strengthening my understanding of Dart fundamentals, asynchronous programming, and clean code practices, and I am eager to start contributing meaningfully to the codebase.
I would be grateful for any guidance regarding suitable repositories, beginner-friendly issues, or recommended contribution paths for new contributors aiming to get involved with Dart. I am highly motivated to learn from the community and contribute consistently over time.
Thank you for your time and for maintaining such a high-quality open-source ecosystem. I look forward to learning from and contributing to the Dart community.
Sincerely,
Arjav Jain
