Dear Dart team,

(First of all: I am new to DART)
I have imported an .obj 3D object (alphashapes derived from a point cloud) of a tree crown in the DART GUI. After adding an optical property in the Volumes/Vegetation tab, it is possible in the GUI to define the object as “Volume” under “3D imported object” and to select “Turbid (vegetation)” under “Object's volume content”.

However, as I would like to import approx. 800 objects, I am looking for a way to implement this with pytools4dart. (Is this even possible in this form?)

When I try to assign the optical properties I get the following error:
“Exception: Optical Properties not found in 'coeff_diff': turbid_leaf”

Attached is the corresponding Python script and the corresponding simulation file.

I would be very happy if you could help me to find a solution.
With best regards
Marius
