Hello Jean-Philippe, hello DART team,

I hope the DART team is still doing well and that developments are progressing.

I'm now at Hytech-imaging, a company based in Brest, France, which is seeking to democratize the uses of spectral imaging.

In the context of water color applications, we are confronted with adjacency effects. I've seen a model that simulates them:

Wu, Y., Knudby, A., & Lapen, D. (2023). Topography-adjusted Monte Carlo simulation of the adjacency effect in remote sensing of coastal and inland waters. Journal of Quantitative Spectroscopy and Radiative Transfer, 108589.https://doi.org/10.1016/j.jqsrt.2023.108589

And I wondered if DART didn't intrinsically allow to do this?

I'd like to take this opportunity to ask you what the conditions are for using DART for a company like us? Have you already experienced this?

Thanks in advance for your feedback,

Josselin

Dear Josselin,

Please fin the following paper that show the capacity of DART to simulate adjacency effects: https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0034425723004984 (3D Monte Carlo surface-atmosphere radiative transfer modelling with DART, 2024)

For using DART in company. I let my colleagues to reply.

Best,

Yingjie

Dear Yingjie,

Thank you very much for your quick response, I will check that paper.

Also thank you in advance for further information about using DART in company.

Best regards,

Josselin
