I woke up feeling unwell this morning, nothing too serious just a
heavy head cold. It was enough to make the thought of two hours
travelling by hot and cold public transport out of the question. At a
workplace where I would have little or no control over whatever the
day might bring, I can't function when under the weather. So I phoned
in sick and stayed at home. Now here I am, pottering about getting
little bits of useful jobs done in between hot drinks and dozing.

When I am working full time as a self employed home worker then on
such occasions of minor illnesses I will be losing a percentage of the
day compared to normal, but not the whole day as my current employer
is doing.

I think it would be much more efficient for everybody concerned if a
lot more home working opportunities were built into more people's
lives and I'm actively looking at ways to make it happen for myself
and others.

Kettle's boiled, but I'm running out of lemons.
