Using darling to use macOS printer drivers on linux

Okay, here's the situation:

I've got a printer that only supports Mac and Win. The mac driver has a ppd which calls a binary filter to convert the data to the gdi crap. Do you guys think it might be feasible to call that filter through darling and thus make the Mac Driver work on Linux? 

This could actually be a killer app for darling: almost all Mac-supported printers would work on Linux, as they share the same printing subsystem. And as cups filters don't even have a GUI, at least in theory, this could work, right?

Side note: the cups filters output their data to stdout. It would really be helpful, if darling would keep that "clean", as in only the original programs output goes to stdout. Is that the case?
