Anyone looking to add this to Ubuntu? If not, I can try and do it myself.

Any tips for the package names?

Hi,

I'd keep the original git names, i.e.:

- darling
- darling-dmg
- gnustep-corebase

etc.

Have you already started with it? I'm also interested to package darling for Debian/xUbuntu :)

I guess it would be for the best to use some sort of build server do produce packages on a daily bases.
I would have infrastructure for this, though I'm not sure if I can master OBS.

I started on that work and would prefer using launchpad for that, but first of all I need to get all sources built locally.
Added already a issue about gnustep-corebase (see issue list of darling).

Sweet, because I didn’t start yet; I haven’t got the sources built locally either. Perhaps a project page on Launchpad would do use some good.

Got them already online, see: https://launchpad.net/darling-emu and https://launchpad.net/gnustep, as it seems that we'll need to provide gnustep-libobjc2, too.

Got it packaged and built for Ubuntu Raring and Saucy..
Just can't get clang-3.2 incl. LLVM built on lower versions. If you have any suggestions let me know how to get it work, thanks!

Hi,
I have tried to install on my Ubuntu 16.10 (64bit). I am receiving an error while running make install:

Could anybody give me some idea?

Hi,

from Darling build instructions:
"Important note for Ubuntu: Recent Ubuntu releases use kernel module signing. It is up to you to find and apply a workaround for loading a module that you have built by e.g. disabling signature verification or by signing the module somehow."

Try Googling parts of the error, this is an error reported by your system's kernel sources, not by Darling.
