They found the field angle matched exactly what they predicted it should be if the Moon's magnetic field looked like the Earth's - one with a North and South pole.
"Because the Moon rotates so slowly and is tidally locked to the Earth, the magnetic field should actually be highly complicated," Nichols says. It should have a field with multiple poles. However, "our study shows they looked more like a bar magnet."
These findings don't entirely exclude multi-polar field shapes, Nichols adds, but they suggest the Moon had a field that looked a lot like Earth's - a result the study team didn't expect.
It's actually surprising the Moon had a magnetic field at all because the lunar core is much smaller than Earth's, Nichols explains.
But the paper's findings show the Moon's field not only resembled Earth's ' it may have also been similar in strength. The study team determined the Moon's magnetic field may have averaged around 50 microTeslas in strength, whereas Earth's field averages around 25 to 65 microTeslas.

The problem with Sitchens work carrying on, is that the majority of the awareness about it in the mainstream these days comes through people who have bastardized it.
Nobody READS anymore. They read summations on bogus blogs written by people who don't know what they are talking about, don't do squat for real research, yet call themselves "researchers".
I also find it disappointing, having personally read the entire of Zacharias work 5 times through, and actually had dinner with Zacharia and a couple friends in 1992, where I got to ask many of the questions I had formulated over the years. I also had the pleasure to sup with Michael Cremo, and Van Daniken on different occasions and with a small group of people, and lunch with Laurence Gardiner (RIP) one-on-one. And of course our brilliant host Andy, who's work ranks right there with the best of them! I still have his final draft manuscript of the Dark Star.
All their great work is fading away or being corrupted..
Nice to see this group is still hanging in there though! How long has it been? 20 years? 25?

Great points, Eric - agreed. The same is happening in the UFO field, unfortunately, and I've practically given up trying to correct the errors, most of which come from misinterpretations of research done over the decades that get perpetuated in the blogosphere and even on TV. Just had the opportunity to make some of these corrections directly to an open-minded TV producer who really did want to get it right, and vows to do better. Unfortunately, the media are essentially outsiders (with rare exceptions) and do not have the time to read the original research and so count on young "researchers" to comb the 'net for the consensus.
That said, it is so refreshing that a handful of field researchers continue to plug away and share their data (Andy included) and for this I am personally very grateful.

Then we are all in for a very hot future, oceans boiling, mega volcanos erupting, it's even possible we could experience a new orbit. This rings my bell. If the energy is not being released as light (albido) then it must be released into the body. This is the so called global warming. Maybe we are seeing the begining of the end and just maybe the Anunnaki are coming to save our asses once again.
