Since1997, Fallout has kept gamers at the edge of their seats, waiting for the next great release of the game. A product of Bethesda Softworks, the game is set in the post-World War II era dated around the 1950s. The game is slightly based on the Mad Max film series and is at times considered a successor of Wasteland.

So far, the franchise has released various titles, each of them better than the last. Given how far gaming and the franchise have come, it's worth taking a stroll down memory lane to see what Fallout had to offer and what it has in store for gamers.

The second instalment of the game followed in quick succession. As with any franchise that takes gaming seriously, the second sequel made several improvements over the first one. Among them was an improved gaming engine. You could also set the attitude of the NPCs in the second game, and you could push people blocking doorways.

There were more pop culture jokes, parodies and better game mechanics. Although this was a follow up of the first game, it is set 80 years after the first Fallout. It centres on a character who is a descendant of the Vault Dweller.

The player assumes the role of the Chosen One and tries to save Arroyo, their village, from famine and drought by searching for the Garden of Eden Creation Kit (GECK). Unfortunately, you find Vault 13 without most of its inhabitants.

Most of the skills will start at about 0% to 50%, depending on the primary attributes of the character. With each level-up, the player is added skill points that you can use to improve your character and their skills.

Interplay Entertainment was at the centre of the action surrounding this game, in what would be the last Fallout game developed by them. It also followed a brotherhood initiate that was given a suicidal mission to find some Brotherhood Paladin lost in Carbon.

In the first chapter of the game, your mission takes you to a nearby town filled with armed thugs. The storyline also features other areas where you have to battle with kamikaze ghouls, super mutants, radioactive scorpions, bandits and raiders. Saying the game is awash with action is an understatement.

It's worth noting that both Brotherhood of Steel releases are not considered canon because they have a stark contrast to the original game and have contradicting storylines of the original Fallout and Fallout 2.

Between 1998 and 2008, when the last canon Fallout game was released and this release, a lot had changed. Along the way, Bethesda Game Studios had purchased the rights to the franchise and Fallout 3 was the first game they developed and released. The game was available on multiple platforms like Windows, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

It picks up 30 years after the events of Fallout 2 and over two centuries since the devastating nuclear war. It chronicles a Vault 101 dweller in the Capital Wastelands after he flees when an Overseer tries to arrest them because their father left the Vault.

After rescuing his father and freeing him from Vault 112, the Lone Wanderer discovers his father's plan to seek the Garden of Eden Creation Kit. This marks the beginning of a rollercoaster event, which includes the player being captured by the Enclave.

Fallout 3 utilizes 3D graphics, a free-roam gaming world and real-time combat, while the previous two relied on 2D isometric graphics and turn-based combat. The changes might have been minimal, but according to the overwhelmingly positive reviews, they were just enough to earn praises from gamers.

The game is not a direct sequel to Fallout 3. It is set four years after the events of Fallout 3. It has the same experience, but there are no characters from the main sequel. In the game, the player is a courier in the dangerous post-apocalyptic world of the Mojave Wasteland.

The game is set in a world ravaged by nuclear war after a China-U.S. conflict over resources. New Vegas is a city that surrounds old Las Vegas, and just like the fallen city, the new one is filled with gamblers and appears untouched by the effects of the nuclear war.

At the start of the game, the courier is robbed and shot in the head. He is left to die but is saved and taken to a doctor in a nearby town. Your first challenge of the game is to find the attacker and recover the stolen package.

The storyline features the Sole Survivor, who has been in a long-term cryogenic stasis in an underground nuclear shelter in Vault 111. The survivor witnesses the kidnapping of his son and the murder of his spouse.

The Sole Survivor now has to such for his son and sets out the Commonwealth, a journey that takes him through the desolate lands. During your journey, you will complete various quests and improve your experience and skill points that will help to improve your abilities.

The developer did an excellent job of incorporating most of the advancements in the gaming world into the new entry. It features an expansive game world (Appalachia, West Virginia) and can handle up to three players. The game follows the story of Vault 76, one of the 17 known control vaults. Most of the enemies and monsters in the game are based on regional folklore.

Other than the canon games and spin-offs listed above, there have also been tabletop games released at various times. These are Fallout 2d20, Fallout: Warfare, Fallout: The Board Game, and Fallout: Wasteland Warfare. Each of these takes a unique twist creating its own storyline of events, presenting gamers with short bursts of gaming.

From the look of things, the Fallout universe is far from over. So far, the franchise has built a solid fan base. Unlike most games that have one bad apple in their sequel, Fallout has done a decent job improving after every release.

Hey guys I'm new to modding Fallout 3 and I was just wondering if any of you more experienced modders out there have any advice to give me on what mod-list I should try to give me a good remastered-esque feeling Fallout 3 experience. To clarify, anything that generally improves things like graphics, gameplay, performance and quality of life are all fine but please nothing that is considered non-canon to the game. I would like for it to be as lore-friendly as possible but instead offer a more enhanced vanilla experience. So pretty much what are the near-essential mods that I should really look into or consider? As of right now the only mods I have are the following:

Fair enough, yeah I saw that some mods such as IStewieAI's Tweaks required v1.3 so I went ahead and got that version.

Do you happen to know if there's any mods that separate looking/turn sensitivity and aiming sensitivity? I'm trying to add aim down sights for my guns but the aiming sensitivity is the same speed as my looking/turning sensitivity and it's too fast. I need a mod that will make the aiming about half the sensitivity as my looking/turn speed.

Earlier in your recommendations I saw that you included NVAC. I had no idea that mod worked for FO3 so it's a pleasant surprise. Is there any way I can use vortex with that mod for FO3 or is it only possible to include it through manual installation?

I went ahead and manually installed NVAC and it's working great. However I have one last issue that I've been trying to resolve for the past few days.

I have Iron Sights Plus mod enabled and working but I'm trying to find a way to separate the sensitivity for when you're looking around versus the sensitivity when you're aiming down your sights. I looked and there doesn't seem to be a mod for Fallout 3 that does this. The only one close is this one - And after reading it's description and tinkering with it in game I can't seem to get it to work. I use a gamepad controller with the steam version of Fallout 3 for reference.

This issue is easily fixed with IStewieAI's Tweaks on Fallout:New Vegas however on Fallout 3 there doesn't seem to be an option for it and no mod that I've experimented with has done the trick.

Ok so...I cant make it to lv 25 to upgrade my deliverer to its fullest potential....and it's because every new save I make vanishes to the bottom of the list or somewhere besides the top...not only that it won't show my level on all of the saves exept when you press continue (only shows what's at the top of the load list) and now I don't know which save is a recent save because everything in the load list is scrambled up...how do I fix this on fallout 4 xbox one? I've already tried scrolling and overwritting over the 1st save at the top of the load list

As a workaround, I recommend you look at something distinctive (preferably in third person view with your character in the shot) before saving. This will make it easier to identify the saves, even though you can't name them.

I never just choose to continue anymore. I always select the load game option. At times my saves have been out of order. Now whenever I am about to save I try to position my character so that something somewhat memorable is onscreen. A screenshot is captured whenever the game is saved. I use the picture to remember the location of the save. More often I look for the game time logged during the save. The save showing the most game time is my most recent save.

- This would be a great achievement after months of daily updating this project, and since we reached a great overhaul, i'd really like that more people at least try this.

REQUIREMENTS

- Fallout 4

- All Dlcs (NO HD TEXTURE PACK) - To disable that HD Pack you just need to untick it from the steam library page, where all downloaded contents are displayed. It gives no balance between quality/performance. They are not such great textures to excuse such performance loss

Lets make a scheme:

Vanilla textures: 7/10 quality and 5/10 performance - HD official pack= 7.7 and 3 - Texture Mods= 6.9 and 8

- A Beginning Knowledge of Nexus Site, Mod Organizer/Nexus Mod Manager, Personal Folders Directories and Modding.

SUGGESTIONS

1) Modlist is in Order, Loot can be used only to make it sort masters (esm), plugins (esp) must stay in this order.

2) Overwrite Everything. if i don't say different.

3) Green Mods are a Must Have or Highly Recommended Mods that i want you to install if you follow this modlist.

4) Orange Mods are Optional Recommended but that people can skip freely to enhance performance, stability or to play an intended way.

5) Do Not Install Everything! This Modlist is not meant to be installed All, start with Green mods if you don't know how much you can handle, and then if your performance stay high you can start with easy Orange mods, 1 or 2 per step, you can install more settlements mods over clothes mods and so on, more clothes over weapons. If you have a great pc system then try to install more. I Never Recommend to go over the 150 plugins, better around 130 or less.

6) Read the Official Mods Description to know how a mod works in-game, leave an endorsment to that mod if you loved it and donate that author if you can or want.

7) If you see not text near a mod then you just have to install the main file only, of your preference if there are more.

8) This Mod-List is tested and meant to be played on Survival Difficult. It may be unbalanced in Others.

9) Test the modlist each 2 steps to see if it's working. I recommend you to install my clean saves file, but they are meant only for graphic and performance preview.

10) If you have doubts or you are not sure what you doing, Just Ask, its better to improve modding knowledge and to avoid useless mistakes.

11) If your Comments are deleted, it means you are not under the Rules, see Sticky Post!
