Hello all

After getting Zhazira's email, I decided to go back to the Darcars in
silver spring, this time I went to the Lexus dealership first, the
sales associate was nice enough to as if I needed help.

I went in as a customer needing some more information about their
maintenance package. I told him I heard about it and was interested in
getting some more information. Apparently that was the wrong question
to ask because he showed me a maintenance package also known as
Darcars protection plan which cost $875, as he began to explain I
noticed that he wasn’t talking about the VSA.

So I asked in particular I am here to get more information on the VSA,
at that point he says o!!! ok let me get my finance manager Ben, he
will be in a better position to assist you with that.

I ask him a few more questions about the VSA and he says “I know
nothing about how the VSA works, I will get my finance officer for
you”

The finance officer comes in, takes me to his office and talks about
the VSA and I was not impressed at all, he asked about a VIN number
and wanted to know if the car was over 36000 miles because anything
over 36000 miles then I wouldn’t qualifier for the VSA.

I was very shocked because I was under the impression that anyone
could get the plan, the finance officer gave me a copy of the VSA and
recommended that I go with the platinum plan which he says could range
from 1400-2400 depending on the miles on the car.

I tried to get him to explain some more about the VSA and all he could
say was that it’s a good plan and he recommends it to all his clients.

I leave Lexus very unsatisfied and I refused to take his word for it
so I headed to the Toyota dealership the same place where we met with
Barry.

I get in their I ask for Barry but he wasn’t in today and I ask a few
sales associates about the VSA and they always looked puzzled and then
referred me to the finance manager.

At Toyota I sat with the finance manager and I told him I purchased a
Toyota Camry 2 years ago and I am looking to get a VSA and I just want
to know more about it before I purchase it, he goes, unfortunately
since my car is over 36000 miles I do not qualify for one.

I was in shock, so I went across to the 2nd Toyota apparently it was
the used cars Toyota office, I get in and a sales associates quickly
comes to ask if I have been helped, so I go over my little speech
again about wanting to know more about the VSA and again he says I
need to be speaking with a financial officer but I need to go to the
Toyota new cars office or building.

At this point I am shocked and disappointed, I had not gotten any
valuable information except that, the VSA can only be purchased within
the first 3 years or before 36000 miles, however if you had one and
you let it expire you could renew for up to 7 years and lastly it was
mostly sold by the finance officers and the sales associates had very
little knowledge about the VSA.

Amaka, in my case the same story. Only the finance manager could give
me the information. The sales people looked very puzzled and they knew
nothing about VSA. It seems like nobody in Darcars cares about VSA!!!
We are going to help them with the task which they don't care:) So,
tomorrow I'll try by myself to get info from the search engines. Guys,
I checked many web sites of different warranty firms and they look
great. The Darcars definitely needs to improve its own web site (we
can give them good tips how to improve it) Second, Darcars needs to
counter the bad mouth regarding the "bad dealerships who sell VSA in
order to get more profit from the customers"... So, let's put any
other ideas on the Google page, especially for our SWOT till next
Friday.

Have a nice week, team!

Zhazira.

Hi, team! I just got call from the Darcars Fairfax customer service.
The lady asked me if I was satisfied with my experience with Darcars.
Yes, she asked me if i got useful information about VSA! I told her
that the sale person referred me to the manager and the manager
explained me everything. So, it seems that VSA is a matter of concern
for the Darcars dealerships...

Amaka, try to call Heather these days... we need to meet with her
definitely.

Best,
Zhazira

hey,

I did not call heather, because I am not sure if Ryan has been able to set up a meeting yet, i would rather talk with Ryan first.I also think Ryan should continue to be the contact person, in other not to confuss them.

However Ryan, if you want me to follow up with Heather, I will be happy to.

Please keep me posted guys!!
