Dear Friends,
WIP Foundation (WIPF) has started an important work on "complications of interventional pain therapy". Charles Gauci has started this work on behalf of WIPF. He has written in his mail: “The World Institute of Pain Foundation has instructed me to set up a working party to deal specifically with the complications of interventional pain therapy. The aim is to record (totally anonymously) all complications, to advice on the prevention of complications and to operate an early warning system alerting colleagues of the possible complications of any procedures.”
All types of complications of interventional procedures have been grouped
into several regions (like cervical, lumber, pelvic etc) and different WIP sections have been instructed to work on different regions. Gauci suggested me (on behalf of India/Sri Lanka section) to work on complications on cervical procedures along with Magdi Iskander of Egypt. We accepted the invitation and agreed to work on it.
I therefore sincerely request all of you to join & assist me in this project. We need to search literature to find out all complications related to any cervical procedures and also any non-published complications known to any of my colleague. Let us make India & Sri Lanka’s contribution great and very much appreciated in this very important project of WIP Foundation. Any case report or complication reported which is related to neck or cervical procedures in
your practice, please let me know. Also send me references of any published data.
