What to look for ?

1- wood types-you got to know your wood types

Wood is divided into three types

-Solid wood  furniture-this is typically more expensive compared to softwood or veneer wood(melamine).

This always cheap when compared to the first category.

-Particle boards- these are the cheapest and they are made out pulp, plastic and the remains of wood materials.they are cheapest and don’t last for decades.

2- Check the draws and cabinets- Make sure the draws pulls out properly, latches and shuts evenly.

Check the doors to make sure they open and remain in an open position and shut solidly. check for the Knobs and handles. They should fit tightly and not jiggle(turn.)

3- Avoid nails and glue- always spend time to look for wood joined at the ends and corners, not glued or nailed in.

4- Inspect the legs- incase of sofas:  The legs should be joined the frame of the sofa or chair. if not finished properly can tear up your floors and wont hold up as well.
