Aflākī was a disciple of Rumi's grandson, 'Ārif Chelebi, who told him to collect in a book all extant stories about Rumi, his teachers, and successors. His book is titled. Manāqib al-'Ārifīn. It was translated from Persian to English by John O'Kane as, The Feats of the Knowers of God, and published in 2000. It was out of print for many years and very expensive to buy used copies (over $400). But now, a friend (Behnaz) has found it freely available online. It has been called a "hagiography" because of Aflaki's tendency to exaggerate or add miraculous accounts. Nevertheless, it contains much wisdom from Rumi, his predecessors, and successors.
