Here is a new translation of Rumi's Ghazal 2674, with commentary and transliteration. A link to the Persian text is also below. I came across this beautiful ghazal translated from Turkish to English in a book I got in Turkey recently. It is by a Mevlevi teacher who lives in Istanbul named Mim Kemal Öke. The book is in English: "Mevlana Jalaluddin Rumi and Sufism: A Dervish's Logbook," Konya: Sufi Kitab, 2017. He is a Turkish professor who also speaks English (I met him in September). The book is a nice introduction to the Sufi way for new students. The book is full of relevant quotes from the Masnavi that the author found via word-searches on
masnavi.net. The book contains partial translations of two ghazals that are so beautiful that I felt I had to read them in Persian and then translate them.
