Authenticity of quote

Dear Howard,

What you have sent is somebody's composite, a reinterpretation of several quotes made to appear as a single quote. The main part is taken from William Chittick's' translations from Persian, The Sufi Path of Love (p. 124),  Letters of Rumi):

“Since they are a ‘single soul,’ to deny one of the prophets is to deny them all…. in reality, they are a single light from a single sun shining into the windows of their bodies’ houses. Since you have opposed and denied one of those lights within this house of life, your bat-nature has been proven and you are deniers.”

I was unable to track down the first part of your quote. Rumi uses the term, "golden chain" only once in the Masnavi (http://www.masnavi.net/1/25/eng/6/219/  ), where "chain" [silsilah] means "fetters" (and not "chain of transmission," as in the "Golden Chain" of the Naqshbandi Sufi order.
