I'm having issues where I get a lot of error 4360 (can't reconnect to remote session) errors when attempting to connect to server 2012 r2 hosts, and / or windows 10 build 1607 hosts. Server 2008 r2 or windows 7 hosts are fine.
If, going to the same host but using windows mstsc.exe, it works fine and I can get the connection. But I can't do it within the application, whether it be the current stable, 1.75 beta, or the portable. All give me the same grief.
RoyalTS has a lot of features built-in to it. Where mRemoteNG is really simple and clean, RoyalTS can be overwhelming. But the application guides you really nice through the setup process. Adding new connections can be done with a few clicks, but you can also go into detail with a configure every little bit of it (colours, icons, font, windows mode, etc).
Once you have a meterpreter shell on an administrators system that has mRemoteNG installed, simply run the post module with the following command and enjoy clear text.
run post/windows/gather/credentials/mremote
I like the clean and intuitive UI. Connections are organized in a folder tree structure on the left and connection windows are displayed on the right (you can also undock the connection windows for native RDP like full-screen). When multiple connections are open they are tabbed across the top for easy switching back and forth.
This means you can start out using as a RDP connection manager for your infrastructure machines and then can expand to using it as a helpdesk tool or connection to non-windows assets such as Linux and Apple MacOS computers.
MobaXterm supports a ton of different session types from RDP, VNC, SSH, and Telnet, to Rlogin, XDMCP, FTP, SFTP, Serial, and many others. It also has a neat feature that lets you run connections in split screen and enter the same command in all the windows which is handy for entering commands on many different servers or pieces of networking equipment.
To solve this problem, we come to the aid of alternative software clients for remote desktop windows, which can work through the RDP protocol and make a connection to the desktop. With their set of tools they repeat the functionality of the standard Windows program Remote Desktop Connection, but have much more convenience for more convenient accounting and access to the server.
The remote desktop protocol is an approach to accessing windows from a remote area without really accessing your device from its actual location. Moreover, the users using the remote desktop protocol can utilize their windows platform anytime and any place they want. The remote desktop protocol is a product from Microsoft Corporation. The protocol came in to deliver the windows server at residence. Using the remote desktop protocol is easy. It is as comfortable as hitting an icon to control your Windows from any other external computer or smart device. The remote desktop control also enables you to share the mouse and keyboard activity with the remote device. Users accessing the remote desktop control can access the Windows/ computer as if they are working on the same computer. It creates an exact ditto environment to work on. The significance of RDP has made it popular among users.
