If someone works on a public machine, it is highly recommendable to use the so called Private browsing. This feature greatly limits the “tracks” you leave when browsing the Web. When in private browsing mode, the supporting browser won’t add Web pages to the history file, removes things from the Downloads window, won’t save autofill information, and won’t add searches to the pop-up menu of recent searches.
NB: Private browsing does not remove ALL "tracks" from the computer or the network, but will prevent from accidental disclosing the login details to a curious non - expert colleаgуe.
The feature is available as New incognito window (Ctrl+Shift+N on Windows or Shift+Cmd+N on Mac) if on Google Chrome browser, Start Private Browsing (Ctrl+Shift+P on Windows or Shift+Cmd+P on Mac) in Mozilla Firefox, Private browsing... in Safari, New Private Window (Ctrl+Shift+N on Windows or Shift+Cmd+N on Mac) in Opera browser or InPrivate Browsing (Ctrl+Shift+P on Windows, no Mac :D ) for internet Explorer.
When finished, do not forged to 1. log - out of your Google account and 2. stop the private Browsing (quit the browser).
May the force of the Zeitgeist Movement be with the Ling Team :D
