En lille reminder om Mahdy Emara den 29 og 30 maj 2010.
Mahdy Emara kommer til Danmark med Annastasia. Hvor han kommer og underviser i Balady og
Saidi Assaia (stok, det er med kvinde stok) Lørdag og søndag 3 timer per gang. Med tid til forklaring
om baggrund for dansen og dens historie.
Hvem er Mahdy Emara? Han startede med musik undervisng i en alder
af 6 år og har siden taget danse undervisning fra flere Master Teachers i
Egypten. Danset i Benha Dance Group og Reda Dance Group. Studere på
Universitetet i Cairo med speciale i Egyptisk klassisk og folklore dans. I dag
er han bosat i Holland har sin egen danse trup og arrangør af Bellydance

Mahdy Emara
As a child Mahdy Emara was
fascinated by music and the dancing in the Egyptian films. At the age of six,
he knew that he would either become an actor, a musician or a dancer. This is
when he started to take music lessons…
Just music was not enough…. One could do so much more with music. This
made him join a dance class with his most inspiring dance teacher Mr. Abdul Razak Al Awi who changed Mahdy’s life
forever….
Since this first class…. Mahdy has never stopped dancing!!!
After a few years of immense hard
work, a professional dance carrier started as being member of the Benha Dance Group.
The following years Mahdy started to study the historical and artistic aspects
of dancing.
1980 was the year where he really received recognition for his talents and was
asked to perform for several television broadcasted programs and theaters.
6th of October 1982 (National day of Egypt) was not only an important day for the Egyptian people, but in particularly for Mahdy and his dance group. This was the day when they had their most memorable performance for the Egyptian population and President Hosni Mubarak at the Cairo Stadium.
After his education and
research specializing in Egyptian classical and folkloric dance (at the
University of Cairo), Mahdy was elected by a National Dance Jury to teach and
educate dancers on the traditional art of Middle Eastern dance.
His most talented students became a part of his very own dance group where he
could educate his students on several techniques and structure of each dance
style.
Due to his ever growing ambition and strive for perfection, Mahdy decided to specialize himself as a Choreographer. While continuing teaching and performing, Mahdy joined the Reda Dance Group (the most renowned in Egypt!!) and received his further education in professional Choreography.
Through his fascination for dance and music, Mahdy entertains and educates people of all cultures about the essential aspects of dance, traditions and artistry of the Middle Eastern cultures.
In his professional carrier, he and his dance group have performed extensively throughout Egypt and Europe, and is currently teaching the art of Oriental dance in Holland.
Mahdy og Annastasia optræder til Hafla lørdag den 29. maj 2010 i Valby Kulturhus.
Så er der Begynder/teknik workshops den 6. maj kl. 12, i 4 timer hvis du kender nogle som evt. er interesserede så lad må du gerne lade dem høre om denne workshops. Pris kr. 325,- of medlemmer af ODU kr. 275,-.
Og så kan i sætte kryds i kalenderen weekenden d. 9.10.11.og12. september 2010, for så bliver det igen tid til Copenhagen Bellydance Festival!

Haflaet med Liza Laziza forløb forrygende. Det var en dejlig aften med masser af glæde og dejlig dans.
Publikum var fantastisk. Danseren gjorde det virkelig godt. Tak til alle som deltog. J
