Hi there,

I am having some trouble installing danpos2. After installing rpy2 with conda and trying the line

python danpos.py -h

I get the following problem with incompatible versions between rpy2 package _rinterface.so and libiconv

ImportError: dlopen(/Users/lfrnbb/Apps/local/bin/miniconda2/lib/python2.7/site-packages/rpy2/rinterface/_rinterface.so, 2): Library not loaded: @rpath/libiconv.2.dylib

Referenced from: /Users/lfrnbb/Apps/local/bin/miniconda2/lib/python2.7/site-packages/rpy2/rinterface/_rinterface.so

Reason: Incompatible library version: _rinterface.so requires version 9.0.0 or later, but libiconv.2.dylib provides version 8.0.0

I have tried updating and replacing libiconv with the latest version but it still gives the same error message.
On the other hand, if I try to install danpos with python3, I get error messages to do with Syntax in danpos.py.
Any one knows how to deal with this?
Thanks

So, eventually managed to work around this problem by using conda to install rpy2, as it is explained in here https://www.biostars.org/p/255914/

I edited the current script to work with updated versions of R and python. https://github.com/sklasfeld/DANPOS2
Feel free to use it.
