GIMUN is a student-run NGO based in Geneva. Its aim is to promote the ideals and principles of the United Nations, giving students a chance to participate in a one-week annual conference, simulating several United Nation committees.
The registration period concerns those wishing to participate as delegates or journalists.
As for the delegates, they can choose between six councils:
Security Council (SC)
Human Rights Council (HRC)
Economic and Social Council (EcoSoc)
General Assembly First Committee – Disarmament and International Security (DISec)
General Assembly Second Committee – Economic and Financial (EcoFin)
United Nations Peace Building Commission (UNPBC)
The registration period will be divided into two waves: The first wave will extend from the 1st of December to the 20th; the second wave from the 22nd of December to the 24th of January.
The chance of being accepted is higher for those signing up during the first wave, so before the 20th of December. They will also be notified earlier whether or not they will be able to participate. All those not chosen in the first wave, will automatically be transferred to the second wave.
To be able to access the registration form, a GIMUN account has to be set up on our website. For organizational reasons, we kindly ask you to use your full name as your username.
