1/17/2007 PAB Meeting Notes

Amanda-
Here are the notes from the PAB meeting today.  The main thing that came out of the meeting is that we need to improve our FFR. Can you send everybody the final copy of the FFR or post it on the group?  We want to have everybody do a thorough read-through / edit by the meeting next Tuesday.

FFR Notes
-our team got one of the lowest scores in the class
-PAB in general disappointed
-needs more consistent formatting
-flow issues between sections
-listing things in chronological order is bad
-lots of the sections looked a lot like slides
-some figures looked pixelated or had the edges cut off
-more team effort needed
-need to more clearly indicate who did what for report... in a separate section

This semester
-iterative tests are good
-make test plans and results scientific even if the test is really simple (Jay bending mylar example)

IR1
-100 % drawings
-50 % test plans
-need actual assignment

-we are going to to the conference paper


Zach and the machining black hole....
-team feels like he needs a helper (Jake)
-we need more information about what's going on
