3 Fun Social Events with Dancesport!

Hi all,

 

It's 8th week and you're probably finishing up midterms, getting ready to graduate, or starting to move things from your apartment back home.  Well, before you take off for the summer, Dancesport has 3 awesome social events planned to celebrate another successful year of dancing and spend time together before the quarter ends.

 

1.  Social Dance in Engineering II Lobby

Music, snacks and drinks will be provided.  Get ready to have fun and bust out all the moves we've learned this year!

Tentative dates: Thursday, May 22 (2 days from now) or Thursday May 29th.

EMAIL Tatevik Kazaryan at tkaz...@student.ucr.edu to vote on which date you'd like the dance.

Time: TBA / will be announced tonight at practice, and through email.  Check your email for updates really soon!

 

2.  End-of-the-Year Picnic at Highland Park (off of Spruce and Watkins behind the train tracks, on Glenhill Drive)

Food and drinks will be provided (duh, it's a picnic.. =] ).  Bring frisbees, soccer balls, water guns, cards and other games if you like!

3.  Camping Weekend at Big Bear

Dates: Saturday May 31 - Sunday June 1.  Depending on who goes and their schedules, we'll leave for Big Bear either Friday afternoon (May 30) or early Saturday morning, and return Sunday afternoon.

EMAIL Michael Glass at mystic...@yahoo.com to say whether or not you are going and what you'd like to do up there.  He needs to know ASAP to pick the site with appropriate accommodations for the activities we want to do and reserve it in advance if required.

Possible activities: hiking, fishing, swimming, taking pictures, making s'mores, telling stories, playing cards, having fun with Dancesport peeps!  Email Mike to RSVP.  Also, dig up that ole sleeping bag, tent, and camping equipment if you've got any because we won't be staying in a hotel, and contrary to popular belief, trees do not have electric outlets to plug in coffee makers in the morning. =]  Once Mike has received your response, he will finalize details and email updated information to everyone.
