Picnic on Friday June 3rd, 3-6pm! (and other updates..)

Hello everyone,

 

Our End-of-the-Year Picnic will be on Friday, June 3rd, 3-6pm at Highland Park.  The park is a mile from campus off of Watkins and Spruce, behind the train tracks, on Glenhill Drive.  Here is a link to googlemaps: Highland Park.  The address is 780 Glenhill Dr, Riverside, CA 92521.  Email me if you can't access the map so I can give you directions.

 

Bring frisbees, soccer balls, water guns, cards, and other games if you like!  This is a fun hang-out time to enjoy with fellow Dancesport members and relax before finals.  A number of our members are graduating this year as well so this may be the last time you'll see them for a while.  :-/  Food and drinks will be provided (last year we had hamburgers and hot dogs deliciously prepared by Iron Chef Fook, chips, drinks and other delights).  If you have any dietary restrictions, email Fook.  He is the organizer in charge of the picnic.  Hope you can make it! 

 

ALSO:

Our Camping Weekend at Big Bear is planned for Saturday May 31 - Sunday June 1.  EMAIL MICHAEL GLASS at mystic...@yahoo.com and tell him a definite YES or NO whether you are coming.  It's fine if you can't make it, but he needs to know for sure if you are or not, so email even if it's a no.  In terms of activities, they require licenses and permits for fishing, so unless you have a permit and want to fish on your own... no fishing.  Other activites include hiking, possibly swimming depending on location, making s'mores, starting a campfire without burning down all of Big Bear, playing cards, telling stories, being without internet for 2 days (gasp  o_O ), taking pictures and making memories!

 

Do any of you have tents, sleeping bags and other equipment?  I have a tent and a sleeping bag that I'm bringing, but we need at least 1 more tent and anything else you can supply, so PLEASE EMAIL ME with what you're bringing if your going, or what you're willing to lend if you're not going.
