Spring Quarter Dance Lesson Schedules and Orange Blossom Ball 4/12/08.

Hello! Everyone,

 

A) The 5th Annual Orange Blossom Ball dance competition (sponsored by Dancesport of UCR) is going to be at UCR campus on Saturday, April 12, 2008, from 9 am to 10 pm. at the Student Recreation Center. Attached is the event flyer or click on www.orangeblossomball.com

 

B) The Dancesport of UCR: Ballroom & Latin Club dance lessons will start on Tuesday, April 1, 2008, from 9.15-11.15 pm at the Student Recreation Center in either room A, B or C. The website is www.dancesportucr.com

 

If you are a non-UCR student, you need to be on the guest list to be able to enter the rec. center for free during this schedule event. Reply to this email if you want to be on the guest list.

 

The membership fee for the club is $20/quarter and the DEADLINE to pay is April 8, 2008. There will be a $5 charge for admission if you don't pay by the deadline until the full membership fee is collected.

 

Professional instructor, Kipp Duran will be teaching the following dances for the Club.

1) Beginner Paso Doble (3 weeks), Beginner Hustle (3 weeks), Beginner West Coast Swing (3 weeks.

2) Intermediate American Waltz (3 weeks), Intermediate American Cha-Cha (3 weeks), Intermediate American Bolero (3 weeks).

 

C) The schedule and fee for the Student Recreation Leisure Line classes are on their website.

The Student Rec. Center Leisure Line classes for Spring Quarter are:

Argentine Tango: 4/14/08 to 6/2/08 Monday 8.45-10.00 pm

International Ballroom/Latin (Slow Foxtrot/Samba): 4/18/08 to 6/6/08, Friday 6.45-8.45 pm

 

Note that there are a couple of new rules for the Leisure Line classes registration:

1) You can only register for class and pay the fee during the day time from 8 am-6 pm. You can also pay by credit card by calling them at (951) 827-5731.

2) They don't allow a first lesson for free anymore. You will need to be registered in order to be able to attend those classes.
