Stage: 12’x12’
A 6’x9’ stage exists, we can build segments to add on to that,
but must make a way to lock them together for stability. Otherwise we
can build the full thing from scratch.
Wall Segments: (5)
Scene: 4-StoneLabyrinth
3’ by at least 5.5’, able to be carried around and moved easily,
will be used as moving Labyrinth walls on stage. Painted as stone
walls.
Knocker Doors: (2)
Scene: 9-HedgeLabyrinth (also one used in 4-StoneLabyrinth and 7-
Oubliette)
Pretty much the same as the Wall Segments, but perhaps with
rounded tops and painted to look like doors. These will be used to
stand behind the Riddle Doors, to be the Knocker Doors, and perhaps to
be used by Hoggle to get out of the Oubliette.
Big Door: 4’x7’ ??
Scenes: 3-Labyrinth Gate and 16-Goblin Gate
This is a big arched double door. It is the only big set piece
that we are going to use. It will sit in the center of the stage, with
the Frontdrops in front of it or abutting it on either side. Ludo
needs to be able to fit through it. It would be need if it had stone
pillar looking things on either side. It also needs to be able to
accommodate Humongous (the big robot thing).
FRONTDROPS:
These are cloth drapes that will be hung from a clothesline
running above the middle of the stage (left to right). They will need
to slide along the clothesline on grommets or showercurtain style, so
that they can be removed easily and quickly. They're about 12'x7'.
Frontdrop 1
Scene: 1-House, 14-Ballroom, 15-Junk Bedroom
White, split in the middle (needs to be plain white because it
will double as Frontdrop 4). In scenes 1 and 15 this drape is pulled
back at this middle split and pinned up, revealing the LabyrinthGate/
GoblinGate. So it would be cool if the reverse side of this drape is
painted to look like stone labyrinth walls.
Frontdrop 2
Scene: 6-HelpingHands and 7-Oubliette
Black, perhaps glittery black (although, we might just go ahead
and do spray glitter all over everything). This will need to be split
in the middle or off-center (don’t matter), and may need to have cuts
that the HelpingHands can stick through.
Frontdrop3
Scene: 11-FireyForest
Green, foresty scene, split in middle or off-center.
BACKDROPS:
These are also cloth drapes, at least 12’x7’, and will be hung
from hooks attached to the ceiling girders/joists. They will need
grommets by which to be hung. The split in them should be off-center,
so if they’re made up of 3 queen size bed sheets, we’ll sew two
together and leave the separation between the last sheet. We need to
pass through these backdrops at certain points.
Backdrop1
Scene: 4-StoneLabyrinth, 5-DanceMagic, 9-HedgeLabyrinth
Grey stone Labyrinth walls. Maybe some of those eyestalk thingys
painted on there too.
Backdrop2
Scene: 8-Underground
Black or greay, possibly with glitter. We can paint or put some
of those False Alarms on it (“You’re going the wrong way!”) if we want
to.
Backdrop3
Scene: 12-BogofEternalStench
Sickly green.
Backdrop4
Scene: 18-GobinCity
Perhaps a goblin city mural? With fortress walls and houses and
stuff, maybe castle in the background above it?
Backdrop5
Scene: 19-Showdown
MC Echer-ish background.
Backdrop6
Scene: 20-BedroomParty
White.
