The Mahatma Gandhi Health and Peace Walk is a unique and free public health initiative that is inspired by Mahatma Gandhi's habit of walking regularly to maintain his health. It aims to encourage people to follow his example and walk regularly to enhance their wellness, reduce their risk of type 2 diabetes, heart disease and prevent obesity. Hence the Walk's motto, "In His Footsteps-For Your Health." Presented by Arise India Foundation. http://ariseindiafoundation.org/

Carnatic musical concert in the West Village by 4 musicians from NYC and their musical interpretations.
Featuring: - Carnatic Violinist Arun Ramamurthy
- Askshay Anantapadmanabhan on mridangam, - Carnatic vocalist Roopa Mahadevan - Mithun Radhakrishnan on Mandolin
Arun performs with innovative jazz/Indian groups, Namaskar and Lotus 5 and also leads Banyan Trees, an acoustic rock/Indian classical blend. He is privileged to study under one of India's leading violinists, Dr. Mysore Manjunath, a virtuosic and fresh breath for Carnatic music. Akshay is a talented mridangist (South Indian drum) and student of the world renown T.H. Subash Chandran (ghatam artist). Roopa is a student of Smt. Asha Ramesh, disciple of the legendary vocalist D.K. Jayaraman. Mithun has been inspired and initiated to the instrument by the pioneer of Carnatic mandolin, Mandolin Srinivas. The mandolin he plays has only 5 strings unlike the traditional 8 stringed Mandolin.

Tribandhi brings together three world class instrumentalists with tabla accompaniment to form an Indian classical "ensemble". Weaving the melodies of traditional ragas between vocal, bamboo flute, and sitar within the excitement and thrill of Indian rhythms, Tribandhi leaves audiences with an unforgettable experience of North Indian classical music.
