Ana,
I read the class syllabus and she required us to put the paper and other works in a folder. I'll provide you that on Wednesday so you can have a folder to put the group works in and turn it in on Friday.

Our dance reflects the appreciation the sun brings to our society as a whole. The name of the dance is “The One”. That is because our society believes in the two gods, the moon and the sun, but has the greatest respect and holds great value to just one, the Sun.  It also represents the battle the sun undergoes each night the moon appears, winning each battle and thats why the sun shines again for another day. The One is a ceremonial dance that is primarily performed at the beginning of the spring season because this is the time when the sun is shining on earth for the longest period of time. In contrary to the sun, the moon appears in the sky for the shortest period of time. With the sun shining on earth for a longer range of time, it gives us more energy to finish labor, more free time for leisure and relaxation with out having to worry or fear of the moon appearing in the sky. With that it also brings a sense of balance and peace to our communities. We also chose the spring time because that is when the flowers, the trees begin to bloom but more importantly the sun provides our crops the nourishment and energy they need to grow, which in return brings nourishment to our society. Since our society depends greatly on agriculture, our dance signifies how grateful we are for all that he does.
In our dance, the females are going to represent the moon. That’s because it is said that the moon signifies the female, darkness aspect of nature. The males will represent the sun which is the masculine, positive aspect of nature. The females are wearing black t-shirts which represent the darkness and males are wearing white t-shirts, which represent the light. Considering the moon(females) brings the darkness when it appears, it stops the growth of our crops because it does not allow the sun(males) to feed them with energy for them to grow, and the society sees this action as a negative quality the moon brings upon everyone. The females represent the darkness of the moon by using umbrellas, which they use to bring shade(darkness) to the crops not allowing them to grow. The males represent the light of the sun by using flashlights, which bring the light back to the crops, allowing them to grow because the society depends on them to survive.
The dance starts with the moon(darkness) surrounding the sun(light), walking in circles as if they are overpowering the sun, but then we shine our even more powerful light on them breaking them away. The sun takes it place in the front were we belong and the moon(darkness) stay together holding hands to signify one ‘big’ power and resides in the back. Then the moon brings their weapons out, the umbrellas holding them up high to represent the darkness(shade). Then they begin to  circle us again, making us weaker  and we fall to the ground and start fading away. Then they head to the side, in a line, where our crops are growing, covering them with their darkness so they can stop them from growing. We then shine our lights from a far, signifying that distance is not a challenge to us, far or close we will win. We then stand up again reclaiming our place and position in the front. All of a sudden the darkness shows up again, but this time beating the ground with their hands. They want to stop the growth of our crops at all cost. The sun loses energy, we start suffocating in the darkness, we begin to fade away as if we were to  lose the war. The sun does not give up and gains energy and goes up to the moon and slashes them with the light. The moon drops their weapons to the ground and they begin to walk away. The darkness of the moon has lost again and for another day, the light shines on earth helping the society live warmly, happily, with that sense of balance and peace. More importantly with food once again.

main points
-"the one" due to the believe of the two gods but having greater appreciation to just one, the sun
-spring ceremonial dance because the sun shines longer on earth
-brings balance, peace, and crops to the society
-females wear black tees and use umbrellas to represent the darkness of the moon. the males wear white tees and use flashlights to represent the light of the sun
-at the end the sun wins the battle and the sun light shines on earth for another day
