First of all, some quick plugs for this week. Tonight I'm performing
in Chicago Underground Comedy at the Beat Kitchen at 9:30 PM, and
Thursday I'm performing at the Lincoln Lodge at 9PM. Google can fill
you in with the rest of the details on these shows- but for the
uninitiated they are the hottest Chicago showcases of alternative
comedy. The lineups are ridiculous! You'd have a blast coming out.
2009 was a ridiculously cool year, where I opened for so many of my
heroes that it seems ridiculous to try and list them. I went on the
road with Maria Bamford for a couple weeks, Paul F. Tompkins went so
far as to thank me audibly and textually on his new CD, and on Boxing
Day I got to open for Patton Oswalt and he repeatedly plugged my own
upcoming headlining show there. And that's just some of it!
I could not be more excited about my May headlining gig at the
Lakeshore Theater! But it's a pretty big venue, and I would really
like the audience to fill out as much as I dare imagine possible. And
cool news- tickets are on sale! It's still a long ways off, but if you
can make it "a date" and get your tickets early, you could start some
pretty awesome momentum. Better yet, I would be very grateful if you
helped me fill this freaking audience out a bit and passed the link
around!

I'm only just starting to headline, so I would love to rock the crap
out of this weekend on my home turf!
Along those lines, I've got another headlining gig coming up even
sooner! I've been to the Funnybone in Bloomington, IN a couple of
times and had a blast, and Valentine's Day weekend I am back there
opening for Maria Bamford. And with no suggestion on my part, the club
thought they'd throw in this cool bonus of me headlining a show on
Thursday!

Bloomington is an awesome college town, and I have met a lot of cool
people out there who I hope will come to some shows, but it's still a
gamble that I can get a house with very limited publicity or TV
credits. So if you know someone, ANYONE who lives out in B-Town and
you think you could get them to come see me, please pass this link
along as well!
That's about all I will harass you with for now. Oh, wait! It's a
longshot to include this here, but I just got an agent for college and
corporate shows. Think you know a group who would want stand-up at
their event? Pass along this link. I have an agent who books me for
these now:

Okay. No more! End transmission.
