Hey everyone! I finally watched WALL-E, and via renewed faith in
compassionate technology I think I finally got this Google Group alive
and kicking.

So I have a few hot bits to announce:

1) This Weekend! ! I'll be the featured act for Melinda Hill at the
Lakeshore Theater Thursday through Saturday. That means about 25
minutes a show of my nerdery. I'd love to have you come by! Look at
lakeshoretheater.com for details.

2) Bob and Tom! I'll be on the Bob and Tom show (possibly the most
popular morning talk show anywhere) on Monday, June 8th at 8:45 AM
Eastern Time. There'll be a camera crew there for the TV show on WGN.
I might be on that too sometime! I have no idea! You can listen in the
Joliet area via 100.7FM, look for the carrier in your area, or get a
VIP pass on bobandtom.com

3) Compact Disc! When I opened for Paul F. Tompkins in March he was
recording a new CD. I had the remarkable luck of having my opening
sets taped on delightfully professional audio equipment and given to
me as raw files. I figured, what the hell, I'll make a CD out of it
and sell it at shows for $5! Good news: they sound and look great! Bad
news: I've already sold half of them! Harrass me sooner rather than
later for these, because I have a few weekends on the road planned and
I don't think they'll make it through the summer. Maybe I'll order
more, maybe not!

4) Bloomington, IN! I had so much fun on my trip down there with Maria
Bamford I've been asked to come back with none other than Jackie
Kashian this August! Keep an eye on dantelfer.com or
funnybonebtown.com for deets.

5) TOO SOON! I'm the big kick-off performer in TOO SOON!, a benefit
for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. Starts at midnight
on Saturday June 13th and goes till noon the next day (don't worry,
I'll only be going 20 minutes). Also featured will be stand-up pals
Jeff Hansen, Sean Flannery, the Second City, and more! The show is at
the Playground Theater in Chicago, and you can find the complete info
at tinyurl.com/toosoonbenefit which is the Facebook Event.

Seriously, you know how the worst part of Disney movies is when they
release a sequel that's just the two main character walking around
holding hands? I want one of those for WALL-E. I could watch those
robots be adorable for forever, Christ.

Talk soon,

Dan
