Sri Gaura Purnima Mahotsava Celebration with HH Jayapataka Swami Maharaja

Sri Gaura Purnima
Sri Gaura Purnima is the auspicious appearance day of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu who is also known as Gauranga due to His golden complexion. This festival also marks the beginning of the New Year for Gaudiya Vaishnavas.
As stated in the scriptures, the Supreme Lord Sri Krishna appeared as Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu to establish Sankirtana (chanting of the Holy Names) – the Yuga Dharma for this age of Kali. He appeared on Phalguni Purnima, the full moon day in the month of Phalguna, (Feb-March) in the year 1486 AD (1407 Shakabda) at Sridham Mayapura as the son of Sri Jagannath Mishra and Srimati Sachidevi.
This year we are celebrating the 535th anniversary of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu’s appearance on Friday, March 18 and also our normal program on Sunday, March 20. We invite you all to join us for the celebrations and receive the blessings of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu!

We are also very very fortunate to have with us HH Jayapataka Swami who is a senior disciple of A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada. He is an initiating spiritual master, a member of the Governing Body Commission (GBC), and a divisional trustee for the Bhaktivedanta Book Trust (BBT). His Holiness Joined the moment in 1968 and since then serving the ISKCON in various capacities including Mayapur Dham and TOVP Development, Congregational Development Ministry, Tribal Care and numerous other initiatives. In spite of his challenging health conditions, Maharaja has graciously accepted to be with us so please do join us for this auspicious occasion.
Important: Considering the delicate situation of Maharaja’s health, we strongly request that everyone maintain a strict protocol of distance from Maharaja and the servants team and adherence to any crowd control sevadharis. Please avoid close exposure to Maharaja, wear your face masks at all times and sanitize frequently.
As usual, the entry and exit will be restricted to the basement. Light Prasadam will be provided.
