Hey Dames!

Two items of business:

1.  http://www.excotc.org/class/bike-feminism-what-it-is-how-we-live-it-how-to-share-it
There is another episode of the EXCO Bike Feminism course, similar to the one that birthed DoF, starting this coming Saturday.  I wanted to make sure you were all aware of it.  I am going to lead a "group ride" from the Midtown Freewheel on the Greenway, meeting at 11, rolling out at 11:15, It's about 5.5 miles.  We will go as slow as we need to, so don't worry if this is the first time you've ridden in awhile.  If you would like to join up, email me and I'll give you my phone number.

2.  I requested that Boneshaker Books (on Franklin) carry Dames on Frames zines.  It was easier/ cheaper for all parties involved if I dropped off some copies that I made, instead of them going though Microcosm.  They asked me what to sell them at, and what I wanted to do with the 60/40 profit split.  I thought they were $3 at Microc. (oops, $2.50), so I told them $3, and I didn't know what to do with the money made.  I only spent a few dollars making the copies and I don't need to be reimbursed.  I would like the money to either go to DoF, or I would like it to be donated to Grease Rag.  Does DoF want the money?  I know it is only a few dollars, but I thought I would ask.

Another option is to offer the zines for free at Boneshaker, but I wouldn't want to be supplying them if that is the case, because I think they would go too fast and I don't want to be spending that much money on copies.  I have ten copies of the latest one printed, and that's all I was planning on supplying.

Thanks for reading.

Hope you're all gearing up for a warm, beautiful riding season!

As far as I know, DoF doesn't have a structured way to take in the money ... however, one thought I have is the $ could be used to print more zines that get distributed for free at coffee shops and such (someone would just have to be in charge of doing so).  Donating it to the Grease Rag also sounds great to me.

How about if I take the money and use it to print more DoF for you?  Would you be okay with that?  (Thanks for your input, Emily.)

Sounds good Laura, Thanks for taking the initiative to get DoF at Boneshaker Books! Maybe it could be sold at Boneshaker for less than $3 too, if that would mean more folks would get their hands on it!
Cheers to all!

All right- that is what I'll do then.  Thanks for your input.  I know it's not a big deal but I would feel weird about selling a collaboratively created zine without asking the group about it first.

PS EXCO Bike feminism!  Anyone going?
