It may sound defeatist, but all the rivers of Daman are polluted.
They've been polluted for decades and continue to be. This despite laws
specifying the level of pollutants that can be dumped into rivers and
the level of processing (detoxifying) waste that has to be done prior to
dumping.
How do we stop the pollution of the rivers?
If we can't stop that, can we really do something about something as big
as a chemical spill for which the local government is absolutely
helpless - both in terms of technology and political will - to do
anything about?
