Gerard, I've been cleaning out such messages manually but they're on
the increase since the last 3 months or so.
I'm considering changing the posting prefs from 100% democratic to the
type that I hate - moderator-controlled.

Yes - I agree with you that moderator controlled isn't very nice. But
unfortunately that's the only one that works.

Google's junk filters are unfortunately not very smart or pro-active.
