any future for dalston dunkers?

Hi all,

Hope you all had a good summer.

So, apologies if I've missed a crucial update, but I was a bit confused at the end of last season about whether Dalston Dunkers was going to continue after the summer or not.  I guess it's all about getting the numbers to make it worth while, so is there still the interest?  Personally, I've had quite a few things on over the summer, never made it along to the Empress sessions for one reason and another and probably couldn't shoot to save my life by now, but I'm kind of missing it - and all of you!

Coincidently, today we just started our season in the Metropolitan League! 

Everything is going well with Empress.

But unfortunately I don’t have time for DD. The new league requires a lot of time!

Hi Jen

I guess it's my fault really on failing to update everyone. 

Our time slot at Petchy has been taken over and there is nothing else on any other days apparently. I have enquired! 

I have asked Sarah to be on the look out if anything comes up or else it is a case of looking for another venue.

All this considered there is also the other matter of consistency which was a huge problem with Dunkers.

If anyone wants to look for another venue or has any other suggestions please feel free to send to me.

I also miss everyone and think it would be nice to play still (of course, if we can make it happen, that is..)

Only worth trying to sort it out if enough of us are able to commit though so maybe if we get enough replies to this thread we can consider?

Hey folks
I would still be up for it depending on days cause of childcare. I reakon we could do a push to get more numbers if we had a slot somewhere. Maybe we could start without a ciach and see about getting numbers up before we financually commit to that. Or put a shout out to the (male/ female?) leagues if anyone wants to coach for free to get experience?

Nice to hear from all of you :)

Unfortunately I wouldn't be able to fully commit to the dunkers at the moment due to work and studying and playing. But keep me in the loop of you guys decide to organise practices or anything and I would do my best to make it.

Practices are at Clapton Girls Academy. £5.00 a session every Thursday 6:45-7:45.
