Hi Dunkers

Firstly I would like to say a warm welcome to some new(ish) players;
Kim Barlow
Leonie Smith
Eimear Doyle
Claire McDonagh

I hope enjoy playing with the Dunkers.

Secondly could I please have a show of how many players are available for tomorrow's friendly game against London Empress at Clapton Girls' Academy, Laura Place, Lower Clapton, London,  E5 0RB.  Please be there between 6:30pm and 6:45pm.  They have already organised the court, table officials and ref.
Please let me know asap if you can make it.

Thirdly, could you also please let me know if you are still interested in playing in the League.  If you have played a match already and have changed your mind, I'm afraid you will still have to pay the fees.   I have to know this as it will determine how much each individual will need to pay.  We need to pay asap.

Finally, have a good weekend and if you are not at the friendly tomorrow see Monday.

Hi Vee!!!

Thx for the email! And big welcome to the new girls.

Re tomorrow, i am still based in Weybrige - I thought when I got this job the further i will be sent to was Canary Wharf, bugger... Thus, as much as I will love to play - i really enjoyed last practice, I am afraid that with or without floods, i won't be able to get there in time for the match. :,-(

Rachel, thx for organizing!

Re the League: I haven't played a match but I am looking forward to it. I have not clear the money issue and how many people can be registered. But I have been thinking... In Spain, what I used to do with my team was:

- Confirm all the people that wanted to play the league, no matter the number.

- Split the cost of playing between those people.

- Register the maximun of people that could be register for the league.

- Then, when having to play a match we followed "first come, first served" as only a number of people can register for a game. Then we swap IDs and T-shirt, and those who came late, watched the match from the stands.

Hope it makes sense, not very legal but don't know how serious they are with this things... It is just an idea  but I might work and also, it could motivate people to play.

What do you think?

Hope to see you all soon!!

X
Claudia
