Jr Ruby on Rails developer: 2+ years experience

Sr Ruby on Rails developer: 5+ years experience

We are looking to hire a web developer who is comfortable working independently to build full-stack features with Ruby on Rails to help us make our products better. We’re looking for someone with an eye for usability and understanding asynchronous processing with background workers.

Responsibilities:

·        Work directly on new user-facing features

·        Help improve our test coverage

·        Provide input and execute design changes for improve usability

·        Triage bug reports and submit PRs that fix them

·        Pull and process data from third-party services to enhance the data we store

  

Requirements:

·        Enthusiastic about technology and the future of web applications

·        Understand how to make the tradeoffs required to ship without compromising quality

·        Able to work with autonomy and take initiative on projects and features

·        2+ years of experience working with Ruby on Rails

·        Ability to write clean, simple and testable Ruby code that will stand the march of progress

·        Good understanding of front-end technologies including HTML5 and CSS3

·        Experience with Postgres, Redis and Elasticsearch

·        Experience with front-end JavaScript frameworks like React, Vue, and Stimulus.js

·        Experience with WebSocket and mobile push notification services

·        Experience with Heroku, AWS or other IaaS and PaaS

·        Understanding of modern deployment pipelines (CI/CD)
