Some of you have met Chris Gay at some of our meetings.  He recently let me know that his company, MileMeter, is one of ten finalists in the Amazon Web Services Startup Challenge.  He has a great idea and uses Ruby and Rails to implement alot of it.  Help me get out the vote so that Chris and Milemeter can win!!!

You can check out the videos for all, including MileMeter, and vote at
http://developer.amazonwebservices.com/connect/amazon_startupchallenge.jsp

If you like his video, you can blog about it and include the video in your post,  Just an idea :)

Check out more about MileMeter at http://milemeter.com/

I came across it from a newsfeed and voted for MileMeter earlier
today. It's in the lead right now as it should be. What an awesome
idea.

Damon from Austin, a lurker here...

I went ahead and passed this on to the Austin, Houston, and San
Antonio Rails/Ruby groups.

Hopefully that's helped the numbers. Awesome that he's ahead now.

Damon, Wade, and Geoff --

Thanks for the support in the AWS contest for MileMeter! It really
made a difference. I hope to have some news for you soon, but in the
meantime I can say I am cautiously optimistic.
