PHP / Web Developer
Developer will be responsible for developing Global Service Reporting
applications/reports with web based interactive interface (AJAX,
jQuery). Work in team oriented environment. Must be able to quickly
understand business logic defined in report/application requirements.
Develop the underlying data processing layer and front-end interface
to display resulting data using appropriate visual elements (charts,
tables etc.). Most of the applications require developing export of
the results into MS Excel & PDF.
Technical skills and requirements:
Minimum 4 years of PHP development experience.
Requires strong knowledge of PHP 5+, MS SQL, and OOP concepts.
Experience writing complex queries extracting and manipulating data in
large databases (150+ tables).
Must have documentation experience; understand process flow charts,
data flow diagrams, technical documentation, in-line documentation
based on php-docs, etc.
Web, graphic and usability design experience.
Strong understanding of both traditional table-based (X)HTML layouts
and CSS-driven layouts and when best to utilize each.
Strong experience in both hand coding JavaScript and using jQuery or
similar JavaScript frameworks.
A fundamental understanding of the Document Object Model and AJAX is a
must.
Experience with Versioning Control Systems such as Git, CVS, or SVN.
Must be comfortable working in a Windows/IIS environment.
Desirable Skills and Experience:
Unit Testing and server side debugging experience.
Experience developing using PHP IDE (ex. Nusphere PHPEd)
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or similar.
4 months contract, Full Time (Part time possible)
