For this month's meetup, we're going to have Tom McCracken from
LevelTen Interactive come and speak about something a little different
from our normal topics. He'll be presenting on the Scrum development
process and how it relates to web development.

----------------------

Web development is hard, very hard – and it’s getting harder. But
there is hope, a radically different approach called agile.

If you build websites, you know the pressure. Modern websites are
complex beasts with thousands of moving parts. Clients have high
demands – changing demands. Budgets have never been tighter. If you
are going to stay ahead of the competition, you have to innovate –
continually. And everything has to be done at the breakneck speed of
web time.

The results: the average project is 45% over budget, delayed by 63%
and missing 1/3 of the promised functionality.

Failure has become the norm! – but there is a better way.

----------------------

Join us and hear Tom talk about some of the "hows" and "whys" of going
agile and how it can help you and your fellow developers be more
accurate in what you deliver in the end.

Who: Tom McCracken

When: Tuesday, June 14th @ 7pm
