Hi There!
On Saturday, December 16th,
Credo will present our annual holiday concert at SMU's Caruth Auditorium at 7:30 p.m. This year, we are adding a special one-hour family concert beginning at 4:00 p.m. It's a "pay what you can" presentation, as to be available and inclusive for all.
There will be guest entertainers, perhaps a magic trick or two, and a special appearance by the big man in red!
As so often the case, adult singers are invited to take part in a massed chorus, but it's rare that children have an opportunity to prepare music on their own and then join others for a larger performance.
Credo is very excited to invite your children's choruses (however many singers you'd like to bring and whatever ages you think can tackle this music) to join us in singing two songs on our family concert.
During the 4pm concert, I will invite the prepared singers onto our stage to make their SMU mainstage debut! There will be no formal rehearsal.
The two pieces are:
Ring Bells (performed with bell choir)
arr. Susan Brumfield
Hal Leonard Corporation
Dan Forrest
Beckenhorst Press
Should you need financial assistance purchasing these two octavos, Credo has agreed to provide them at no cost to you. This is on an individual need basis, so please let me know and we'll work it out privately.
I do hope you will consider joining us on that day, and feel free to email me with questions. My goal is to have at least 50-60 join us that day!
ONE REQUEST: If you plan to bring singers, please let me know so I can include your name and affiliation in our program booklet.
Thank you!
Jonathan
