The Chancel Choir and orchestra will present the Dallas premier of A Celtic Mass by local composer, R. Daniel Holt, during 11:00 a.m. worship. Inspired by River Dance and Holt’s passion for all Irish music, A Celtic Mass is characterized by driving rhythms, lilting melodies and distinctive Irish harmony. Irish specialty instruments, Celtic harp, Uillean pipes, tin whistle and bodhran will be a joy to hear as will the traditional bag pipes in Holt’s arrangement of Highland Cathedral, also included in the service. We hope you will come and be inspired by the traditional mass text in an exciting new musical setting.
