Hello Everyone,

 

I wanted to remind everyone about the upcoming deadline of April 13^th, 2012 for Pup Fest play submissions.  Please make sure you are encouraging your students to submit their plays! (The very latest that we will take scripts is Monday the 16^th but they must be in our door by 11am! Students may stop by the JP offices over the weekend and slide it through our slot on the door of suite #104) Attached is the flyer with all of the information for the playwriting submissions & a flyer for Taming of the Shrew Auditions. April 2012 - Pup Fest Deadline April 13th In this issue... Attention High School Playwrights! PUP Fest Script Submissions Accepted until April 13th! High School Students - The Taming of the Shrew Auditions May 12th Become a Junior Players Fan on Facebook! Attention High School Playwrights! PUP Fest Script Submissions Accepted until April 13th! Note: We will accept submissions postmarked by April 13th, or scripts emailed to ros...@juniorplayers.org by April 13th! Junior Players and Kitchen Dog Theater are happy to announce the 2012 Playwrights Under Progress Festival, a program for High School playwrights produced in association with KDT's New Works Festival. Original scripts are now being accepted until April 13, 2012. Three to five scripts will be chosen for a festival of staged readings which will be performed in June at Kitchen Dog Theater. Eligible playwrights must be available from June 4-9 for rehearsals and the performance. Guidelines for submission: Must be written by students currently in grades 9-12 Scripts must be short, 20 minute maximum (Longer scripts will not be accepted) Script must be typed in 12pt Times New Roman or Courier font (Handwritten scripts will not be accepted) Scripts must have a cover sheet with the play's title, author's name, name of school and current grade (download it here) Scripts may have between 1 and 5 characters Send your script to: Kitchen Dog Theater Attn: Pup Fest Coordinator 3120 McKinney Avenue Dallas, TX 75204 Submission Deadline: April 13, 2012 If you have any questions, please call Junior Players at (214) 526-4076 or visit either the Kitchen Dog Theater website or www.juniorplayers.org High School Students - The Taming of the Shrew Auditions May 12th Auditions for our summer production of The Taming of the Shrew are May 12th, and are open to students in grades 9-12.
