Creation of a casteless and peaceful society is indeed the first step towards just, egalitarian, and harmonious society. A society of equals, neither unequal nor more-equals, beyond the strings of caste, class, gender, race, ethnicity, etc. Otherwise it leads to social oppression, political exploitation, economic deprivation, cultural domination, gender discrimination, class isolation, deliberate exclusion. Lets’ believe in a society beyond this.

Dear Goldy,

This report was published immediately after the massacre in late 2006 by Mr Ratnakar Gaikwad, the then nodal Officer for SCST (prevention of atrocities) appointed by the state govt. Though the report clearly indicates on dalit atrocity in the massacre and on the political nexus in the entire episode..this report was never considered in the Khairlanji court case Khairlanji dalit massacre has been made as a mere matter of quarrel due animosity between neighbours resulting in murder. The main reason of dalit atrocity behind this gruesome massacre is considered irrelevant by the courts..we need to highlight these issues rather than just circulating the report. A very good book 'Khairlanji : a strange and bitter crop', by Dr Anand Teltumbde and published by Navayana is available in market. Each one of us need to go thru this book..

regards,
Milind

Dear Goldy!

I think this report has been reflected in many ways before, this
brutal incident happened in late 2006; shaking all of the so called
progressive image of Maharashtra and later on the Khairlanji village
was declared " MAHATMA GANDHI TANTA MUKTA GAON" means the village with
no disputes by Maharashtra Govt.

What mockery govt. has made to dalits!!!!

also those people who have murdered the Bhotmange family were OBCs.

you may have known all this scenario before but for just breifing you
all this incident.

So what can be done in these kinds of situations?

Start discussions.

Jai Bhim Jai Bauddha Rashtra.

Maitreya.
