Dear Sir/ Madam,

Greetings !

You are cordially invited to the a National Conference on Dalit Art and Imagery: Depiction, Protests and Aspiration through Visual Imagery. This Conference is to be held on the 4th, 5th and 6th of March at the Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi.
 
The first day will be themed around a book discussion of the recent joint publication of the Indian Institute of Dalit Studies and Oxford University Press- "Dalit Art and Visual Imagery" Edited by Gary Tartakov.
 
The Conference will also include performances and presentations and and Art Exhibit from Nationally Acclaimed Artists expressing Dalit themes in Literature, Arts, Film,  Theatre and Academic theory.
 
This National Conference has been collaboratively organized by Jawaharlal Nehru University, Centre for English Studies, Indian Institute of Dalit Studies, Centre for Dalit Literature and Art and Oxford University Press.
 
We welcome you to this three day programme and would be very grateful if you could forward this invite to persons working or committed to the themes of this conference.

Pl announce new Festval of Funeral procession & burning the symbols/Statue/Cutout/Paintings/Photos/calendars of BHAGYA - NASIB- ATMA - Daivwad -AHANKAR ( Ego ) on 24th Dec each year with music & distribute Sweet to celebrate. Take lead for this new Festval to defeat Brahminical cultural onslaught  on Buddhist culture. Its festival of freedom/ liberation frm cultural/Mind slavery.
