How to License VMware vCenter Server V5 with a Keygen

VMware vCenter Server is a server management software that provides a centralized platform for controlling your VMware vSphere environments. It allows you to automate and deliver a virtual infrastructure across the hybrid cloud with confidence. However, to use all the features of vCenter Server, you need to purchase a license key or use a keygen to generate one.

A keygen is a software tool that can create valid license keys for a given software product. It can be useful if you want to test or evaluate a software without paying for it. However, using a keygen may be illegal or unethical in some cases, so you should be careful and aware of the risks involved.

In this article, we will show you how to license VMware vCenter Server V5 with a keygen. We will assume that you have already installed vCenter Server V5 on your system and that you have access to a keygen for this product. We will also assume that you have connected your vSphere Client to the vCenter Server.

Step 1: Add License Keys

The first step is to add the license keys that you have generated with the keygen to the vSphere inventory. To do this, follow these steps:

    • Log in to the vSphere Client.
    • Click Home.
    • Under the Administration section, click the Licensing icon.
    • Click Manage vSphere Licenses.
    • Enter the License Key in the Enter new vSphere license keys field (one per line). Include labels for new license keys as necessary.
    • Click Add License Keys.
    • After clicking Add License Keys, you can review the license keys you added, capacity counts, expiration dates, and labels associated with the license keys.
    • Click Next to assign the license keys.

    Step 2: Assign License Keys

The next step is to assign the license keys to the vCenter Server or the ESXi host. To do this, follow these steps:

      • Log in to the vSphere Client.
      • Click Home.
      • Under the Administration section, click the Licensing icon.
      • Choose Evaluation Mode and expand the list.
      • Find the product you want to license.
      • Right-click on the product and click Change License Key.
      • Select Assign an existing license key to this host or Assign a new license key to this host depending on your preference.
      • Select a key from list that was entered previously on Manage License window or enter a new key if you chose to assign a new one.
      • Click OK.

      Step 3: Verify License Status

The final step is to verify that your vCenter Server V5 is licensed correctly and that you can use all its features. To do this, follow these steps:

        • Log in to the vSphere Client.
        • Click Home.
        • Under the Administration section, click the Licensing icon.
        • Select Assets and expand the list.
        • Select your vCenter Server or ESXi host and check its license status on the right pane.
        • If your license status is green and says Licensed, then you have successfully licensed your product with a keygen. If your license status is red and says Expired or Invalid, then you have failed to license your product with a keygen and you need to try again with a different key or contact VMware support for assistance.
